Arizona Biennial 2026

The 2026 Arizona Biennial is a juried exhibition celebrating diverse voices, perspectives, and practices of contemporary artists from across the state. Presented by the Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block (TMA), the exhibition is on view in the James J. and Louise R. Glasser and Earl Kai Chann Galleries from May 22nd through September 27th, 2026. 

The Arizona Biennial has long served as a platform for presenting artwork that offers insight into the cultural vitality and defining issues of the Southwest. The pieces selected for this exhibition, “Arrival to Paradise” and “Family Reunion", both reflect on the contradictions and violences that shape the immigrant experience —where sacrifice and labor are met with exclusion, and humanity is too often rendered invisible. These tensions resonate deeply in Arizona, land marked by arrival and passage, where the histories and present realities of Latin American migration identity unfold daily.
